10-17’s – 01/02/22

7th February 2022

Last Tuesday we played a new game – Pencil Nose – modelled below by one of our attendees! We had our group build a rather large den, as well as card games and crafts.

Pencil Nose!

During the session we also looked at our own emotions and how we can discern what we are feeling ourselves! We had a look at the “Blob Tree”, in which we had a very good discussion about how sometimes we can be smiling but how there is more than just happiness, that we are anxious under the smile too; or that we can feel one way at school and another at home.

Our team game this week was “Trust” – in which we had 2 teams, each with one person blindfolded and we had a race to reach a bottle. Both teams did incredibly well in trusting their team-mates, which had the group receiving a mini prize each!

If you are interested in your child coming to the group, or if you wish to volunteer some time, please email ruth@skyautismsupport.com

Our dream is to develop a community that will continue to support Autistic people when their families are no longer able.

Through our work we want to see Autistic people and their families grow in confidence through accessing autism-specific support. They will gain relationships, skills and opportunities to help their lives. We want the futures of Autistic people to be full of hope.
